The first and the second price of the 2013 young talent award from the Norwegian Design Council was earned by two Systems Oriented Design projects.

First price was won by Manuela Aguirre and Jan Kristian Strømsnes with the project Designing for Dignity in a Sexual Violence Responce system.

The second price went to Jan Kristian Strømsnes for his project Nautical Controls for the Future.

The Norwegian Design Council with Adrian Paulsen initiated a project with the renown research hub Simula and their project Celerway. Celerway is a new technology that makes the use of cellphones while on the move more fluent.

SOD helped to gain an overview and to generate ways to communicate the technology.

The Norwegian Research Council reported on the project on their website.

17th March 2013. We are happy to announce a new PhD position at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design:

Design of Public Services - Bridging Systems Oriented Design and Service Design.

This is a fully financed full time stipend. You need to move to Oslo.
